Phi Theta Kappa will be sponsoring a blood drive through the American Red Cross on Tuesday, September 14, 2010.

Women’s Soccer Remains Undefeated with Dodge Win

 Coming off a conference win on Friday, the PCC Women’s Soccer Team squared off in a non-conference match on Tuesday. This was PCC’s first contest at their temporary home pitch in Havilland, KS, and the win moved them to 2-0 on the season.

Men's Soccer Opens with Win over Indy

The Pratt Community College Men’s Soccer Team opened their 2010 campaign with a hard fought 1-0 win against Independence Community College on Friday. Callum Charlton scored the winning goal just before the halftime whistle. Pratt had several other excellent scoring opportunities in the second half, but could not capitalize on any of them.

Volleyball Goes 2-2 in Opening Tournament

It was a somewhat auspicious beginning for the 2010 Beaver volleyball squad, as the freshman laden team went 2-2 over the weekend in Lamar, Colorado. Pratt defeated Clarendon (TX) and Sheridan (WY), but lost to #21 Laramie County (WY) and Western Wyoming.

Lady Beaver Soccer Team Nets Historic Win

The Lady Beaver Soccer Team opened their inaugural season with a victory over Independence on Friday afternoon. Pratt defeated their Jayhawk Conference opponent 2-1.  Alycia Reed scored the historic first goal for Pratt's women's soccer program, taking a cross from Tanya Morales.

Information Network Technology

Pratt Community College is currently offering an A.A.S. degree program in Information Network Technology (INT). The program emphasizes IT industry recognized certifications such as CompTIA (A+ & Network+), as well as, Microsoft, and Cisco certifications, and prepares the student to successfully complete the certification exams. In addition, the program provides hands-on work experience through partnerships with local and statewide businesses that are either IT based, or have an in-house IT department.  The INT program provides instruction in:

  • Computer and Network Hardware
  • Computer and Network operating systems and protocols
  • Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Introductory and Advance computer programming
  • Webpage design
  • Network switch and router technology
  • Computer Applications

The Information Technology field continues to grow at a substantial rate and qualified Computer Technicians, Network Technicians, and Network Administrators are in demand. Entry-level career opportunities in Information Technology awaits those who have the necessary skills and education to meet the demand. This two year program prepares you for a successful career in the Information Technology field.
